PSA

In my Voice and Articulation class, we were assigned to create a public service announcement. I choose to do human trafficking because I feel as a woman it's a topic that people should know about. I really enjoyed this project because it taught me how to use Slideshare and put together a slide cast. This type of technology is useful to both teachers and students. Teachers can use this in their classroom to teach a new topic and students can use it to put together an assignment in a different way.

First, we were asked to write a 60 second script that included an attention grabber, information about the topic, and information about the organization. Before recording our presentations, we were asked to present it in front of the class. Below you will see the first draft of my public service announcement.

After revising my script and listening to peer criticism, I recorded my public service announcement using GarageBand and Audacity, which are two other great tools that I am well versed in that could be used in a classroom. After recording, I made a Powerpoint presentation with pictures and text that related to human trafficking and made it a slide cast.

Here is the final PSA.
